SixSpeed Hires Agency Veteran Bob Molhoek as First CMO

SixSpeed, a leading integrated creative and brand experience agency, has hired Bob Molhoek as Chief Marketing Officer, a new position for the agency.  In his new role, Molhoek will lead the agency’s account services department and new business efforts.

Molhoek brings more than 20 years of strategic marketing experience to SixSpeed and is known for applying a unique mix of creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and marketing expertise to generate momentum for agencies and clients alike. Molhoek’s most recent agency experience was a second tour at Olson where he served as Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Organic Client Growth and helped fuel the agency’s record growth.

“We are purpose built for the future and use a unique mix of capabilities to engage brands’ core consumers across all relevant touch points,” said Joe Hurd, Chief Operating Officer, at SixSpeed.  “Bob’s early work at Fallon on the BMW Films and his efforts leading brands like the Detroit Pistons and Nike Bauer Hockey at Olson demonstrated that he’s wired the same way. Most importantly, he helped build Olson from an 18-person agency to the largest in the Twin Cities and we’re confident he’ll be able to help SixSpeed scale and continue to grow.”

“SixSpeed is a humble, hard-working, strategic group of can-doers,” said Molhoek. “And I love that they share a simple guiding purpose: to make the world’s most adventurous brands impossible to imitate.”

In addition to his experience in advertising, Molhoek has been the CEO of two start-up companies in Minnesota, Bite Tech/Under Armour Performance Mouthwear and iMyne.

Molhoek has a bachelor degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and lives in Edina with his wife Kari and four boys.
