Full Stack Developer

You’ll collaborate. You’ll listen. You’ll identify business problems. You’ll implement solutions. You’ll work alongside all teams. We are looking for a candidate who isn’t afraid to wear multiple hats in order to help us continue building our digital team. You’ll be comfortable with fast-paced, evolving job expectations, and working to constantly push the limits of what’s possible for our brands’ user experience. SixSpeed is rapidly growing and those with an entrepreneurial mindset will excel.

The ideal Full Stack Developer candidate has between 1-3 years of creative agency experience. This person’s focus is to implement the functional aspects of projects while aligning with our creative team’s vision and the projects’ requirements. This full-time position requires inspiration and collaboration.

THE TASK AT HAND

  • Create and maintain applications that suit our clients’ needs
  • Enjoy working across the whole development stack
  • Ability to convert client and team issues into implemented solutions
  • Willing to work with all aspects of a website, application, or other technical solutions
  • Be accountable for the technical aspects of projects, including participation in project scoping, estimates, requirements gathering and client communications
  • Adhere to existing SixSpeed best practices, and participate in improving them

WHO ARE YOU

  • 1-3 years of relative experience and a portfolio showcasing your work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Works well in a team environment and respects and welcomes ideas from others
  • Experienced with PHP based CMS’s and at least one PHP MVC framework
  • Experienced with at least one modern JavaScript framework
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Experienced with version control systems
  • Passionate for optimizing pages, images, scripts, and web services for scale and performance
  • Strong grasp of engineering methodologies and best practices

Copywriter

As a Copywriter, you’ll be tasked with taking on big, sticky challenges—tackling them with pen, paper and an open mind. You’ll not only have ideas that leap from the page, but the skill and discipline to craft them into copy that inspires action. You’ll speak to audiences through well-crafted ideas, with words and images as your closest allies. The ideal candidate has 3-8 years of creative agency experience, a proven ability to generate original ideas and the persistence to will them into the world.

  • Digest and understand technical product information and translate into compelling brand messages
  • Craft deep core insights that inspire and come to life as both short and long copy

Senior Art Director

As a Senior Art Director, you’ll generate ideas, develop concepts and guide teams in developing the visual look and feel for all brand communications. Not limited to just the consideration of visuals, You are an emotionally intelligent storyteller who thoughtfully creates structure and emphasis with words, images and sounds to meaningfully connect people and a brand’s driving action. You’ll actively collaborate, inspire and guide partners and teams in the creation and development of exciting new ideas and work.

THE TASK AT HAND

  • Collaborate with copywriters to generate a volume of ideas and concepts
  • Develop and maintain the visual look of a project or campaign ensuring the work is consistent, distinct, appropriate, engaging and that communication is clear
  • Lead the collaborative visual development of projects and campaigns by guiding teams, producers and partners with a clear direction from start to finish
  • Maintain awareness of trends in culture and industry, producing new thinking and looks for clients and the agency
  • Research and understand client’s needs, brand, products, audience and competition
  • Minimize subjectivity in development of creative strategies to sell ideas and concepts
  • Find, recommend and select vendor partners (e.g. photographers, retouchers, video production houses, editors, sound mixers and illustrators, etc.)
  • Develop shot lists, treatment and vision for capture and present the vision and plan with producers and account partners to client
  • Travel to direct photo and video shoots ensuring the vision is met and the shotlist is captured
  • Select image assets post-capture, providing retouch direction to partners and presenting for approval with account to clients
  • Build positive working relationships with all team members, vendors and clients
  • Inspire and motivate teams to create their best work; promote the environment for creativity to flourish
  • Articulate vision, ideas and concepts to peers and clients—listening and reacting to feedback appropriately

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
