Director of Live Event and Experiential

SixSpeed is a leading integrated creative and brand experience agency designed to make the world’s most adventurous brands impossible to imitate. We are seeking a seasoned Director to lead and manage the SixSpeed Live Team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the field and proficient in event, activation and experiential productions that drive brand engagement.  This person will have management experience at a medium or large size integrated agency as a leader in its experiential team.  Extra credit will be given for a senior leader who has built the experiential capability at his or her agency.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will bring a strong network of existing relationships/contractors within the outdoor recreation, outdoor sportsman, automotive and power sports industries to help our productions (i.e. producers, fabrication, installation, risk management, talent, drivers, photographers, production houses, post-production houses, etc.).

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Concept: Distills brand idea(s) into successfully executable events, field activations, and/or tactile experiences
  • Sell: Supports the account lead to help sell the idea’s live, executable components and make the client comfortable that it will be achievable and meet their goals
  • Planning: Owns pre-production plan leading up to a live execution
  • Execution: Delivers the project in the field
  • Post: Developing and reporting the ‘insights from action’ – how the knowledge gained in the field can inform our brand, digital and content work as well.
  • Manage: Oversee a team of full-time and contractors
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years at a medium or large integrated agency as experiential team manager with at least 3 employees
  • Possess a strong network of existing national and international vendor partner relationships for all types of live productions
  • Strong organization, communication, and social skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative environment with changing needs and requirements
  • Ability to travel regularly to manage work in the field
  • Four year degree in business, marketing or relevant emphasis

Integrated Producer

The purpose of an Integrated Producer is to oversee the capture operation at SixSpeed. This person will be responsible for collaborating with all internal project teams by providing photo and video production expertise and recommendations during all phases of production. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the budgeting, scheduling and staffing of all SixSpeed productions using both internal staff and external production partners/vendors.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in every phase related to photo production (commercial & editorial) and video production (web, digital and broadcast). Additionally, the ideal candidate will bring a strong network of existing relationships/contractors within the outdoor recreation, outdoor sportsman, and powersports industries to utilize in position and affect current work (i.e. producers, photographers, production houses, post-production houses, etc.).

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Management of all pre-production, production, and post-production activities related to capture projects at SixSpeed
  • Oversee the creation of the capture brief for photo and video shoots
  • Effectively staff the appropriate producers & production partners to all capture projects that best ensure creative success as defined within the capture brief.
  • Effectively communicate project goals, timelines, updates and deliverables to all internal and external production resources
  • Execute On-site management and production leadership when required
  • Collaborate with internal team as it relates to any field or studio production
  • Support the Account and Project teams to present holistic capture recommendations to clients
  • Manage the annual capture calendar
  • Clear communication of goals & objectives with all production parties (internal & contractors)
  • Partner with Digital Asset Manager on management of all post-production activities and workflow
  • Collaborate with Resource Manager to effectively resource internal creative talent on all productions
  • Research and understand new trends & technology related to Capture
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of agency experience acting in either of the following roles: photo production (commercial & editorial) and video production (web, digital and broadcast)
  • Knowledge of web, digital, and broadcast production & post production workflow
  • Experience establishing and managing budgets, staff plans and timelines
  • Ability to negotiate usage with shooters and reps and have experience with both SAG/AFTRA & Non-Union rules regarding talent
  • Possess a strong network of existing production relationships as well as how to find them nationally or internationally for all types of productions
  • Knowledge of asset management platforms and workflow tools
  • Strong organization, communication, and social skills
  • Comfortable being client-facing and presenting work

SixSpeed is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join its growing Minneapolis team.

You’ll be tasked with taking on big, sticky challenges—tackling them just like us: with pencils down and minds open. You’ll not only have ideas that leap from the page, but the skill and discipline to craft them into copy that inspires action. You’ll speak to audiences through well-crafted brand ideas, using language as your closest ally. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of creative agency experience or a portfolio that proves you have the ability to generate original ideas and the persistence to will them into the world.

This position is for our fast-paced powersports and outdoor client base. Passion and knowledge for powersports and the outdoors will be given extra credit!

Account Manager – Outdoor Brands

We are hiring an Account Manager to own and navigate day-to-day client relationships within our growing portfolio of outdoor accounts. They are responsible for leading the client externally and the SixSpeed team internally to ensure team health and high client satisfaction. They must have an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and secure opportunities while leading and expanding SixSpeed’s business. The Account Manager reports to the Director of Account Services.

For this role we are looking for a person with agency account experience and knowledge from working for passion and lifestyle brands with knowledge in fishing/boating/ski/surf categories.

Client Management:

  • Builds and maintain strong active relationships with junior to mid-level clients
  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Assist with managing client budget and set price/willingness to pay

We are hiring a Studio Manager to lead a diverse team of production artists and designers responsible for developing and delivering materials across marketing channels. They will work closely with project management and design to define project outputs and own the processes or solutions necessary to complete the task efficiently and flawlessly. They must be a highly organized, an effective communicator and solution orientated. The Studio Manager reports to the Executive Creative Director.

For this role we are looking for a person with agency or print production experience and a history of managing a team serving multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
